As we approach the Galaxy S24 series announcement, several features have already been leaked, with particular attention on the Galaxy S24 Ultra due to its anticipated top-notch camera capabilities. A recent leak reaffirms the camera specifications for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

According to information from tipster Revegnus, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is set to sport a 200MP primary camera. However, it’s worth noting that this isn’t the same 200MP camera as found in the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will employ a slightly improved 200MP camera sensor known as ISOCELL HP2SX, featuring 0.6µm pixels. In addition to this high-resolution sensor, it will also include a 12MP ultrawide camera (Sony IMX564 with 1.4µm pixels), a 10MP telephoto camera (Sony IMX754+ with 1/12µm pixels) offering 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP telephoto camera (Sony IMX854 with 0.7µm pixels) featuring 5x optical zoom.

Interestingly, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will not include a 10MP telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom, which has been a popular feature on previous Samsung phones. This raises questions about how effectively Samsung can optimize the 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom to deliver the same level of optical zoom quality.

The device also incorporates a laser-assisted autofocus mechanism, enhancing accuracy in focusing, especially in low-light and close-range scenarios. Another intriguing feature expected to debut on the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the Zoom Anyplace camera technology, which allows users to simultaneously record a full-view 4K video and a zoomed-in view at 4K resolution. This provides greater creative potential for users and filmmakers, as it enables the recording of specific zoomed-in areas of a scene while capturing the overall view in high resolution.

Furthermore, Samsung has introduced the E2E AI Remosaic feature, which employs a new image processing algorithm to reduce the time needed to capture a 200MP resolution image. On previous models like the Galaxy S23 Ultra, capturing a 200MP image took a second or two, limiting its use for fast-moving subjects. However, the new E2E AI Remosaic feature, expected to be present on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, is set to halve this capture time, making it more versatile in various shooting situations.
