Samsung has recently unveiled its new lineup of smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch6 Series, which includes the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic. The Watch6 Classic reintroduces the rotating bezel, a feature last seen in the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic. Samsung will also start the production of her new Samsung Galaxy Smart Rings in August
Both models are available in two different sizes, and LTE-enabled versions are also offered, thanks to Samsung’s integrated eSIM module.
Compared to the Watch5 series, the Galaxy Watch6 lineup brings several improvements. The regular Watch6 is the more budget-friendly option, featuring a sleek and minimalist design without the rotating bezel. However, the display is larger than its predecessor due to thinner bezels.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch6 Classic retains the same display as the Watch5 Classic, but both the 47mm and 43mm versions now include rotating bezels.
Both the Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic boast Super AMOLED screens with full-color Always On Display (AOD) and sapphire crystal protection for durability.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Watch6 family is equipped with a brand-new Exynos W930 chipset, a dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1.4GHz, providing an 18% increase in performance compared to the Watch5 lineup. The RAM has also been upgraded from 1.5 GB to 2 GB, and all models offer 16GB of internal storage for ample app and file storage.
The most significant improvement in the Galaxy Watch6 series is the software, offering enhanced sleep insights and comprehensive health tracking features, including heart rate monitoring, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, and HR alerts.
Pricing for the Galaxy Watch6 starts at £289 ($373.29 US) for the non-LTE version and £369 ($476.62 US) for the LTE version. The Watch6 Classic starts at £369 ($476.62 US) for the non-LTE version and £459 ($592.71 US) for the LTE version.
