Apple has released iOS 16.5.1 (c), a Rapid Security Response update for iPhone software, addressing a security vulnerability and resolving certain bugs that some users may have encountered. This update aims to fix issues that were present in previous updates.

To download the update, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone, then tap on Install Now and follow the onscreen instructions.

This release follows Apple’s rollout of iOS 16.5.1 (a) on Monday, which was intended to address a vulnerability in WebKit, the engine powering Safari and other third-party browsers on iOS. However, Apple quickly removed access to this update due to reports of websites displaying incorrectly. On Wednesday, Apple confirmed that the latest Rapid Security Response update resolves this issue.

In addition, Apple introduced the first public beta of iOS 17 on Wednesday. If you are interested in trying out the public beta, it is advisable to download it on a device other than your primary phone as a precaution, in case the new software causes any problems. More so, the new iphone 15, which is set to come in 3 different colors, will come with already patched rapid security.
