iCloud subscribers who do not use Apple One should be aware that Apple has quietly increased subscription fees in several countries. Let’s take the UK as an example: the 50GB tier previously cost £0.79 per month, but the updated pricing now reflects £0.99. The 200GB and 2TB tiers have also become more expensive. It’s not just the UK—many other countries are experiencing similar price hikes. However, the pricing remains the same in euros, as well as in the US, Canada, Australia, and India.
It’s important to note that the free iCloud plan is still available, but it continues to offer only 5GB of storage, the same as when the service was initially launched in 2011.
There is some positive news for Apple One subscribers, as the pricing for that particular bundle has not changed. Apple One includes iCloud+, tv+, Music, Arcade, and, at the highest tier, Fitness+ and News+. However, it should be noted that Apple increased the prices for Apple One back in October, so this brings only limited consolation.
